Todd McFarlane, creator of one of the original and most successful Image comic lines, Spawn, went on to develop the property into a successful range of Spawn action figures which span into possibly the biggest range of figures on the adult collectibles market.

McFarlane Toys very much pioneered the six/ seven-inch scale, mass-market, movie license action figure with their Movie Maniacs range and have recently moved more into the popular TV realm with sought-after licenses like The Simpsons, Lost and the classic nostalgia of the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons. As well as the ongoing Spawn figures range, which goes from strength to strength in both quality and design, McFarlane have a number of other innovative in-house ranges like the McFarlane's Monsters line (taking classic characters and giving them a twist darkwards) and their fantasy mythos, McFarlane's Dragons. McFarlane Toys also produce figures based on some of music's most popular performers like Jimi Hendrix and Motley Crue as well as their excellent Elvis figures - currently of six different Elvis styles.

Always an interesting company, McFarlane's newest idea is the 3D reproduction of classic movie posters and album covers, producing some excellent additions to any fan's collection.
